bay front park

bay front park

Bay Front Park is an amazing place to bring your pup for a great shaded stroll around the marina and bayfront.

  • The park the previous reviewer talked about is not Bayfront Park. It's Bird Key Park.
  • It's on a causeway between Sarasota and St. Armand's Key. Bayfront Park has LOTS of dog-friendly amenities.
  • There's an open area to run, a walking path, beach access to Sarasota Bay, poop bags, dog water, and lots of furry friends to play with.
  • A pet-friendly restaurant, "O'Leary's" that has live music nightly is located in the general area.

  • And it's very close to downtown Sarasota. Sometimes when there is an event, it's hard to find parking.
  • But you can always park on the east side of US 41 and walk to Bay front Park.
  • There isn't any sand there.
  • There are concrete block construction of the coastline area, this creates slimy, slippery moss, and not as much trouble for the furriers as it is for their humans.
  • Wear scuba shoes.
  • Very pretty area.
  • Getting in and out is a bit difficult.
  • Bayfront Park is Miami's gift to tourists. It is compact enough so as not to exhaust the faint of heart. And its attractions vary from natural lawns to kitschy shops mingled with food emporiums and attractions which flagrantly grasp for every available buck.  There's free live music in a mini amphitheater,  and an area for spontaneous dancing. Bayfront Park is beyond beautiful.
  • It's a park, but not just a park, because it's also a cool place to be not only for walking, strolling, a picnic on the grass, a good place to take in what Miami living is all about it with its nearby Bayside Marketplace, fleets of cruise ships and waterfront scenery.
