The Barbotey Rock Garden is called the Rock Garden of Darjeeling. The Chinnu Summer Falls in the Garden is an added attraction to this place. The natural falls, artificial pond and various view points makes the Garden more attractive. The Garden offers a beautiful view of hill stream cascading over rocks along the slope.
The Garden is done up with flower gardens and sitting spaces at different levels. The Ganga Maya Park is nearly 3 km from the Rock Garden. The park offers boating facilities and is endowed with great scenic beauty.
Visitors should make arrangement for transportation to this place. The road leading to this spot is in bad condition. Youngsters who look forward for adventure can visit this place. It is advisable for people who are above 60 not to visit this place.
The administrator Anil Verma said there were no immediate plans to renovate the garden and the park. Steps would be taken to renovate in the near future.
