Queen of Ooty Hills


Doddabeta peak is the utmost apex point in Ooty that located nearly above more than three thousand meters. It is the highest peak in South India that lies at the junction of Eastern and Western Ghats. The fabulous valleys and the areas of Coimbatore, some moorland of Mysore are glanced exactly from this peak point very clearly. 

On the other hand, there is a Telescope House in the Doddabetta apex. Human eyes are capable to make a glance for some areas only. Hence, by using this telescope one can have long fantastic sight around this mountain. This Telescope House has been managed and controlled by the Tamil Nadu Development Corporation. 


This house has unveiled by the Tamil Nadu Government on June 18, 1983. There is also TTDC restaurants that accommodate to the savor of the visitors. There is also a fabulous activity that held at this tourist spot is trekking at the Doddabetta Peak.
