Coonoor is one of the world famous tourist spot that included in the tourist package of Ooty. The place Coonoor is adjoining via the meter gauge railway line on the world famed Nilgiris Mountain Railway. The trip is traveled between Mettupalayam and Ooty.
The out looking tourist rides, at this place, are Sim’s Park, which comprises lots and lots of plants, trees and flowers as like the Botanical Garden. The region enclosed by this garden is twelve hectares. This place is located about nearly twenty kilometers from South Ooty. The famous entertainment is celebrated in summer named as “Fruit Show.”
The fantastic and thrilling activity of Coonoor is trekking trails. It leads the visitors to Lamb Rock, which exit ten kilometers from this town. The regions that are covered by this trip include Coimbatore plains, which provide a spectacular view of the tea and coffee plantations. About 12 km from this town, there is a trek from Lady Canning’s Seat to Dolphin’s Seat.
